Arm and Breast Lift with Fat Transposition to the Breasts From the Chest Wall

This 51 year old woman underwent gastric bypass in 2002 with a 145 pound weight loss. After undergoing prior body contouring surgery, she was left unhappy with the appearance of her arms and breasts. On exam she was noted to be 5'3" tall and 175 pounds with significant bat wing deformities and deflated, ptotic breasts. There was also loose skin and fat of the lateral chest wall between the axillae and the breasts. A brachioplasty was performed to remove the hanging skin from the upper arms and a mastopexy was performed to lift the breasts. The extra skin and fat taken from the chest was hinged on its blood supply and placed into the upper pole of the breasts. This improved the contour of both the chest and the breasts.
