Herniorrhaphy with Tummy Tuck
Hernia repairs(herniorrhaphies) are frequently performed at the time of a tummy tuck. Many times, the hernias are detected on exam prior to the sugery but small hernias can go undetected until they are discovered at the time of the procedure. An umbilicoplasty can be performed to create a new umbilicus if the present umbilicus has been disrupted by a sizeable hernia as in this case.
