Breast Implant Exchange
Breast implant exchange surgery is performed for a variety of reasons. Among them are for: replacement of ruptured implants, correction of asymmetry, release of capsular contractures, a desired change in breast size, and replacement of older implants at the time of a subsequent breast lift. Occassionally this procedure is performed to help relieve pain that may be associated with breast implants and capsular contracture.
As in this case, most patients are happy with the results and recovery is usually fairly swift.
