Bilateral Breast Implant Exchange and Capsulotomy

This 54 year old woman underwent submuscular breast augmentation with smooth saline implants in 2007. She presented to the office in 2023 unhappy with a gradual change in the appearance of the left breast. On exam she was found to have a grade III capsular contracture that created an oblong shape to the breast. Her implants were 350 cc inflated to 400cc. She underwent bilateral implant exchange and capsulotomy to improve the shape and symmetry of her breasts.Her new implants are subpectoral Mentor Smooth Moderate Plus 465 cc Memory Gel Xtra implants. She obtained an excellent result and was very pleased with her new breast shape and size.
