Bilateral Mastectomy and Free Nipple Grafts for Gynecomastia

. This 49 year old man developed gynecomastia secondary to a pituitary disorder and was very unhappy with the appearance of his chest. He also lost 50 pounds which failed to help. On exam, he was noted to have marked gynecomastia with significant downward displacement of the nipple. He underwent a male breast reduction with a free nipple graft technique. 324 grams of tissue was removed from the right side and 350 grams from the left. He was extremely happy with the results of his surgery which restored the male contour to his chest.
