Daxxify Treatment to Relax a Facial Scar

This 59 year old woman suffered a laceration to her chin in childhood that left her with a noticeable scar. She underwent a surgical scar revision several years later but was left with an obvious deformity and came to the office interested in another scar revision surgery. On exam, it became apparent that the deformity was not simply a scar but it was the adherence of her mentalis muscle within the scar tissue which worsened with muscle contraction and diminished with muscle relaxation. Daxxify was injected into the mentalis muscle to relax it and thereby diminish the appearance of the deformity with a fabulous result.
